As featured in Outdoor Design and Living - 2005 In the front garden, the layout follows well-defined lines - from the rectangular expanses of lawn to the hedge of fragrant Port Wine Magnolia hugging the fence line. Ivory Curl Trees produce creamy, sweet smelling flowers in autumn and provide contrast for the hedge while jade-green Mop Top Robinias, emerging from a border planting of liriope, function as garden features. In the rear garden, which has a more relaxed feel, Alexander palms provide a tropical backdrop for the pool and its striking water feature. For foliage contrast there is Philodendron Xanadu and Dianella Silver Streak; for accents, fan palms and philodendron selloum; for screening, lilly pilly and murraya; and for borders liriope. Tucked into a far corner, the pool is the crown of the rear garden. Its bright blue tiled interior beckons and provides a refreshing view from the elevated, paved dining area at the back of the home. To one side of the pool is a expanse of verdant lawn, providing play space for the children.
