Each design project undertaken by Lifestyle Landscape Designs is individualized with specificity to project and client. The design services cover: full consultation, briefings, fee proposals, staging of design work -to ensure your requirements are captured- a comprehensive set of drawings, master plans/layouts and advice on the process of lodgement with Council -if this is required-.
Once the landscape design has been completed, a full and itemised costing of the design construction is prepared and discussed, along with project management and any subsequent garden maintenance schedules.
Initial Consultation Lifestyle Landscape Designs aims to work closely with you on your landscape project from pre-design to post construction, taking care of all the landscape design and construction matters along the way. The first step in this process is the initial consultation where the development of a strong and trusting professional relationship begins. In this initial consultation, you'll be provided with expert advice geared towards meeting your requirements and desires regarding your new garden, and establishing an initial budget for the project. We will also discuss site or property-specific issues whether existing or having the potential to arise. Additionally, determining the availability of drawings that can be utilized; such as survey or achitectural plans, may help to reduce the cost of the landscape design. Lastly, we will advise you on the forthcoming process of the design development and construction.
Concept Stage Once you receive the fee proposal letter and the fee proposal is approved by you, the concept stage drawing will be developed. This drawing is a broad management of the landscape, which will include all of the features and spaces required in the brief, linking them to your home and each other; pathways and walkways for example. Specifics are not covered at this stage, with the focus being on accessibility and functionality. This concept plan is formally presented to you and fully discussed at a second consultation. During which, interactive communication is encouraged as it serves to capture your thoughts on the initial design concept.
Master Plans All of the information provided at the concept stage consultation is transposed to the drawing process, with changes being made as required to meet your needs and wishes. This plan is the master plan for Council, client and for full pricing of the landscape construction and construction itself. The set of drawings produced will meet your requirements (and/or Council's) and include much more detail on plants, materials, site specifics and the like. These documents are presented formally to you during a follow-up consultation where full explanation on all aspects of the new outdoor spaces are covered. Again, your input is important at this stage so that if changes are required to the master plan, they are then implemented to provide you with a complete set of updated documents. Design Services Each design client has specific design requirements, including a design budget. Lifestyle Landscape Designs offers 2 types of design services: Complete and Basic.
